Took an overnight trip to Flagstaff, Arizona and this is what I found.

I’d been wanting to get out to these trains for a while, but kept putting it off. With warmer weather soon approaching I figured it would be best to get out there now before the temperature breaks into the 100’s.

It took me some time to research and find where they were located, which is why I’m not going to hand out the location to just anyone. With a little searching on Google you’ll be able to find them just as I did!

Initially I thought it would be easy to get to these trains, but once out there we were on private property and trespassing, but I figured we’d come far enough, so I didn’t want to give up on them. On the hike out I passed three crosses to the side of the tracks with no info on them, which was creepy. The trains have been destroyed on the inside, and have two levels for seating. The insides of these trains are identical to the trains that used to go down to the Tecate Brewery in Tecate, Mexico from the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum in Campo.

After exploring the inside of the trains I walked outside along them to the very last train, and then heard a noise coming from the other side of the tracks, but didn’t see anything when I looked underneath the train to the other side where the sound was coming from. As I approached the end of the trains and walked around to the other side I heard the noise again, and in the bushes 100 feet from me I saw a woman on her knees digging at the dirt with a small hand shovel. I didn’t stick around to find out what she was digging the hole for! I quickly and quietly located my partner and we headed out back to my vehicle.
